The A321neo will link the three bases with each other and with Europe, Cape Verde and West Africa. The A321XLR will make it possible to cross the Atlantic on routes where a large aircraft would not pay its way, such as Lisbon–Boston or Lisbon–Toronto. The A330-900 will fly most of the long-haul network and the A350-900 the longest flights, such as Madrid–Tokyo.
On board there will be four cabins: Economy, with a 7 kg cabin bag always included; Horizon, a premium class with more space; Meridian, with a flat bed and direct aisle access across the long-haul network; and Zenith, four suites with doors on the A350.
“A modern, uniform fleet is the best guarantee of punctuality, comfort and efficiency,” the company says. “New-generation aircraft burn less fuel per seat than the ones they replace, and that shows in the fare too.”
The planned fleet is 11 aircraft in 2028 and 60 in 2036.
About Air Caravel
Air Caravel is a new Iberian airline that plans to start flying in 2028 from Lisbon, and from 2029 also from Madrid and Porto, with direct flights to Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. It will operate an all-Airbus, new-generation fleet, shows final prices from the first click and includes a cabin bag in every fare. Its loyalty programme, COMPASS, rewards the number of flights, not just spending.
Network and fleet figures reflect the company’s plan and may change.
