The launch network combines five transatlantic routes with six European and African ones: in 2028 Lisbon will connect with São Paulo, New York, Boston, Recife and Toronto, and with Praia, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Madrid.
In 2029 Madrid and Porto become bases and the network grows to 24 routes, adding destinations such as Mexico City, Bogotá, Rio de Janeiro, Washington, Geneva, Milan and Rome. The plan foresees 56 routes in 2031 and 68 in 2036, including flights to Tokyo, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, Santiago and Macau.
“Lisbon is the closest European capital to Brazil and the US East Coast, and Madrid is the great gateway to Latin America,” the company explains. “With three bases just over an hour’s flight apart, we can offer direct flights where others make you connect.”
All routes, with their planned start year, frequencies and indicative schedules, can be found at aircaravel.com.
About Air Caravel
Air Caravel is a new Iberian airline that plans to start flying in 2028 from Lisbon, and from 2029 also from Madrid and Porto, with direct flights to Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. It will operate an all-Airbus, new-generation fleet, shows final prices from the first click and includes a cabin bag in every fare. Its loyalty programme, COMPASS, rewards the number of flights, not just spending.
Network and fleet figures reflect the company’s plan and may change.
